Summing up, I would like to know what are the differences between SampleTank CS, SampleTank and SampleTank PRO. I was thinking that by buying SampleTank app it is going to have all the sounds built-in. Secondly, does the "Buy all the sounds" or "SampleTank PRO" include Miroslav Philharmonik? Or that I have "Buy all the sounds" option in an app that normally cost about $20. They are even the same size of 1,6GB (SampleTank and SampleTank CS) which is weird if CS have 26 instruments and normal SampleTank have about 150 instruments. So I am paying $9.99 for what? That makes no sense If I still have to pay the same amount of money to have all of the sounds. For example, SampleTank for iPad is currently on sale for $9.99 and SampleTank Custom Shop is for free, but both of them have in-app purchase to buy all of the sounds for the same price. The furthest I can reach so far, is to get SampleTank 4 to read the sound files. But v3 is no longer available for download. Would you start with SampleTank 4, not SampleTank 3? The experienced people started with SampleTank 3 already downloaded into their machine. There are suggestions on the manual, like this: You got to put the folders of OTONE ("Imported Samples", "Instruments" and "Multis") into the folder system of IK Multimedia which, is already created for you using the installer. Then here comes the thing: to import Orchestools One sounds into SampleTank 4. I can open SampleTank 4, and play with the sound library in Cakewalk.
Just don't delete the authenticator it's there to authenticate your SampleTank 4, but you won't do that, normally. The installer will carry you along with the installations. Up to this point everything is streamline. Remember to download the Sounds - please don't ask me why it's something technical I guess. It's free! Simply click DOWNLOAD for "SampleTank 4 Custom Shop". To use the instruments, you gotta download SampleTank first.
